The specialists of the company contractor Al Serh Al Kabeer have concreted the lower part of the walls on one of the anchor supports of the freight-passenger line № 2 at the String Testing Centre in Sharjah.
High-strength metal frame and more than 120 cubic metres of C40/10 concrete were used for the construction. After checking the quality of the casting, the contractor's representatives were given permission to continue the work. A new phase of reinforcement and formwork installation is now underway on the site.
The anchor support will be part of the freight and passenger infrastructure that can transport up to 50,000 passengers per hour and up to 100 million tons of freight per year. All intermediate supports have already been erected for this purpose.
There is still a lot of work ahead: completing the casting of the concrete on the two anchor supports and installing the 2.4-km track structure. However, the most difficult phase of the construction has already been launched.
