It's been more than a month since the exhibition Innotrans 2018, but the news about it is still spreading around the world. Much has been written about the new trains and the progress in the field of alternative energy sources; the SkyWay project  is also paid attention. Not so long ago, there was published an article about the high-speed unibus in "Nezavisimaya Gazeta", and  international media is not lagging behind either: a note about SkyWay was posted in the French online edition  "Direct Industry", dedicated to technology news.

SkyWay has introduced a new high-speed transport in Berlin

At the exhibition InnoTrans, held in Berlin in the centre "Messe Berlin", from 18 to 21 September, CJSC "String technology" for the first time introduced its high-speed unibus, which is capable to reach speeds of up to 500 km/h . The characteristics of the unibus hit records for small high-speed wheeled vehicles: motion at a speed of 500 km/h with the drag coefficient Cx = 0,06 and energy consumption of 0.93 kg/100 passengers x km in fuel equivalent. When moving with a speed of 100 km/h, the energy consumption is reduced to less than 0.1 kg/100 passengers x km.

There was also presented the urban 18-seat unicar, which moves at speeds of up to 150 km/h. Unicar has passed a series of tests and certification procedures and is another record for efficiency in its category with a power consumption of 0.12 kg/100 passengers x km in fuel equivalent at a speed of 100 km/h.

SkyWay is a transportation and infrastructure project, uniting 700 technical specialists and experts in the field of innovative technologies. The goal is developing solutions that offer new ways of organizing passenger and cargo transportation with the help of aerodynamic, autonomous vehicles.
