Dr Charles Kwarteng Asafo-Adjei and Mrs Evelyn Yaa Gyamfuah D. Asafo-Adjei have visited the String Тechnologies Testing Centre in Sharjah. The guests run Ghanaian infrastructure services company Eve-Asa Company Limited.

The first stop on the tour was the passenger station. Here, the businessmen were presented with the certified tropical Unicar, which is designed for regions with temperatures up to +55℃. To test the transport in practice and assess its comfortable interior, the delegates took a short test drive.

While the vehicle was on its way to the service station, the representatives of the Centre explained to the guests how vehicles are towed in case of breakdowns and how passengers are evacuated in case of emergencies. The businessmen highlighted the eco-friendliness of the technology.

After the ride, the delegates visited the dispatch room, from which one person can control several rolling stock. The operator-mechanic showed that the control system is easy to use and works without failures.

Then, the guests were shown the flagship of the project — the high-speed model of the string transport. This vehicle is equipped with a six-seater VIP saloon and can reach speeds of up to 500km/h on intercity routes.

The tour concluded in the headquarters of the company, which is developing the project in the Middle East. It is in this building that the mock-up of the Linear City — cluster settlements that are connected by string transport, is installed.

The executives of Eve-Asa Company Limited thanked the representatives of the Centre and expressed hope for the development of the string transport on the African continent.
