The Testing Centre in Sharjah has welcomed businessmen from the Czech Republic. The guests got to know about the advantages of the technology and tested the transport in practice. Here are the highlights of the event.
The tour of the Centre began with the office of the company developing the string transport in the UAE. In this building, the guests were shown a mock-up of a linear city with five active tracks and given a presentation of the technology.
The delegates also visited the office observation deck, from where they could appreciate the scale of the certified track 1 and track 4, for which the anchor supports have already been installed.
The delegates paid special attention to the advantages of the technology. One of them is the availability of standard design elements which enable the most efficient configuration of the transport complex depending on the requirements of the customer, weather and terrain conditions.
Other advantages include low construction costs, high environmental compatibility, high passenger comfort, energy efficiency, low material consumption, speeds of up to 150 km/h in the city and the possibility of integrating into existing infrastructure.
The features listed are in line with the global movement to combat climate change, the transition to alternative energy sources, the digitalisation of the economy and the wishes of potential customers.
After learning about the possibilities of the string transport, the Czech guests took a test drive on the certified tropical Unicar to test the technology in practice.
The next part of the tour was the demonstration pavilion, featuring the project's flagship: the high-speed model of the string transport. This vehicle seats 6 people, can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h and exceeds the Bugatti Veyron sports car's aerodynamic performance by a factor of 7.
As a reminder: the high-speed string-vehicle was first presented at InnoTrans in Berlin, and now the model is on display at the Testing Centre in Sharjah as part of EXPO 2020.
At the end of the tour, representatives of the Czech Republic business community wished the project further development, not only in the Middle East, but also in Europe. It should be noted that the company is ready to provide its future clients with a reliable partnership and high quality services.
