Officials and entrepreneurs from Brazil have visited String Technology Testing Centre in Sharjah. The trip was part of the tour to the UAE, within the frames of which the delegates also visited the World Innovation Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai.

Similar to previous delegations, the guests from Brazil took a test ride in the certified tropical Unicar on the 400-metre track. While the queue was waiting for boarding, the representatives of the Centre told the delegates about the types of rail-string track structure, the features of different transport models and safety for passengers.

In addition, the visitors got to know about the technical capabilities of Unicont, a cargo model of the string transport, which is designed to transport 20-foot and 40-foot sea containers at speeds of up to 100 km/h. Such a vehicle is suitable for use in logistics centres, seaports and mining operations in a variety of climatic conditions.

The representatives of Karahasan were particularly interested in Unicont. The region has a cargo traffic of 190 million tons per year. Unicont could be an effective alternative for this part of Brazil.

An additional stop during the tour was the dispatch room, where the guests were shown how the sensors work that enable the string transport to be positioned in space. This system is now undergoing a series of improvements with the help of radars and on-board cameras.

And of course, the delegates visited the demonstration pavilion where there is on display a high-speed model of the string transport, which is designed to travel on intercity and international routes at speeds of up to 500 km/h.

We remind you that this is the third visit of representatives of Brazil to Testing Centre in Sharjah. Previously, among the guests of the Centre, there has already been the first cosmonaut of this country and the participants of the transport mission in the UAE. All this indicates a growing interest in the string transport technology in Brazilian business circles.
