A delegation from El Salvador has visited the Unitsky String Technologies Inc. Centre. The group was headed by Mr Daniel Alejandro Álvarez Campos, President of the Lempa River Hydroelectric Executive Commission. This organisation has been developing El Salvador's natural resource potential for electricity since 1945.
During the tour of the Centre, the guests visited the passenger station and took a ride in the certified tropical Unicar on a 400-metre test track.
Delegates also familiarized themselves with the dispatch station software, and even drove traffic on the track, which demonstrates the ease of operation of the Unitsky String Technologies Inc. control system.
The visitors were particularly interested in the high-speed model of the string transport. This vehicle has 6 seats for passengers and is designed for long-distance and international travel at speeds of up to 500 km/h.
In addition to passenger solutions, the guests were also introduced to the capabilities of the Unitsky String Technologies Inc. freight transport, which can transport 20-foot and 40-foot containers at speeds of up to 100 km/h. This model is suitable for use in logistics centres, sea and river ports, and mining operations in a variety of climatic conditions.
The main focus of the meeting, however, was a presentation by Unitsky String Technologies Inc. at which the delegates were informed of implementation options for the string transport in El Salvador. Specifically, there were proposed the following routes:
‒ From El Salvador International Airport to Plaza Los Cocos Park.
‒ From El Salvador International Airport to the city of San Salvador.
‒ From the seaport of Acajutla to the inland container terminal.
A few other proposals were for larger projects:
‒ Construction of public transport lines in El Salvador.
‒ Building a track from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean.
‒Construction of the pan-continental American high-speed track.
In addition, at the presentation, there was shown a new 16-person model of the Unitsky String Technologies Inc. transport with an intelligent security system and multimedia system.
The delegates highly appreciated the string transport technology and after the meeting expressed their desire to continue working with the company, which is developing the project in the UAE, and Mr Daniel Alejandro Álvarez Campos left the feedback in the Guest Book.
