A new video with the overview of the rigid track structure has been released at the SkyWay Test Center in Belarus. Sergey Artyushevsky, Deputy General Designer for Science of Unitsky String Technologies Co. spoke about the track.
According to Sergey, there was planned to build a 17- km long rigid track at the EcoTechnoPark. However, the construction could not be implemented because of the protected marshes along the track path. Because of that, the length of the existing track is only one kilometre.
As Sergey noted, the length of the rigid track at the EcoTechnoPark is not enough to test the high-speed Unibus at speeds of up to 500 km/h. That is why today, a new 22-km long track is under development, where the transport will be able to show maximum speed.
More details from the EcoTechnoPark are in the new video.
