«Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)» – a programme, accepted by UN in 2000, officially known as the «Transformation of our World: Agenda for Sustainable Development up to 2030». It has been effective since 2015.

The UN meetings that discussed the implementation of the SDG resulted in the publication of a compendium of materials, which includes a list of experts and partners of the programme. SkyWay is among them.

SDG is a project of future international cooperation, which contains 17 global goals and 169 related objectives aimed at the prosperity and improving living standards of people around the world.

In early June, the program participants, including UNGSII, UNSDSN, UNICEF, UNOPS, WHO, met in the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), where the project 25+5 was discussed. Previously, 25 leading cities and 5 indigenous communities had been selected on all continents to demonstrate that the SDG could be fully implemented by 2025. It's all about bringing people together and focusing efforts and resources on building the society of the future.

«Sustainable Development Goals are a call to action from all the poor, rich and middle-income countries. It aims to improve the well-being and protection of our planet. States recognize that measures to eliminate poverty must go hand in hand with efforts to increase economic growth and address a range of issues in the areas of education, health, social protection and employment; as well as with the fight climate change and the environment protection, according to the UN General Assembly Resolution of 25 September 2015.

The implementation of SkyWay and SpaceWay programs can be a decisive factor in achieving all these goals. It involves the creation of many additional jobs, not only in cities of the future such as Dubai, where SkyWay is already officially included in the infrastructure development plan, but also in a number of least developed countries along the equatorial line. The global potential of these projects is fully in line with the international development priorities set out in the UN documents.

As a matter of fact, the prospects that lie behind SkyWay, and SpaceWay in particular, extend well beyond SDG and related projects, including the well-known Kyoto Protocol.

The culture of consumption and production will move to a completely different quality level, the harm from which should be gradually reduced to a minimum. The absolute majority of problems related to environmental pollution, climate change, conservation of forests, oceans and biodiversity, desertification and land degradation can be solved.

In the early stages, the UN can be seen as a component of the socio-political foundation for the implementation of SkyWay and SpaceWay.

The need to create an international public organization to consolidate the efforts of the international community to ensure the sustainable development of the biosphere and the harmonious co-evolution of man and nature in the UN was highlighted in SkyWay creator Anatoliy Unitskiy's report in his speech at the II International Scientific and Technical Conference «Non-Rocket Industrialization of Space: Problems, Ideas, Projects». It is planned to do within the next 2 years. The headquarters will be located in the United States. Over time, the organization will join the UN as a global environmental expert.

The United Nations and Anatoliy Unitskiy have been working together since the early 2000s: at that time, the Belorussian engineer was twice awarded UN grants for projects related to the string transport.
