The city of Orenburg hosted the VIII international Steppe Symposium of the Russian geographical society "Steppes of Northern Eurasia", organized by the Institute of Steppe of the Ural Аssociation in RAS on the basis of the Federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education "Orenburg State University" from 9 up to 13 September 2018. The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Geographical Society, Orenburg State University, North Kazakhstan State University and United Directorate of the state nature reserve "Orenburg" and "Shaitan-Tau".

Among the participants of the Symposium, there were Vice-President of RGS, academician of RAS  A. A.Chibilyov; Counsellor of RAS, academician V. N. Bolshakov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, academician K. N. Kulik; academician A. S. Rulev; corresponding member of RAS A. A.Tishkov; Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor A. N. Zolotokrylin; Doctor of Biological Sciences G. S. Bush; Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, honored scientist of the Russian Federation S. V.Saksonov; RAS corresponding member G. S. Rosenberg; Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, honored of NAS RK, M. N. Sdykov.

The agenda for the international symposium was the discussion of actual problems of preservation of cultural-historical and natural heritage and ecological rehabilitation of landscapes, unique geographical region — steppes of Northern Eurasia. As one of the solutions, contributing to the development of the national economy and protection of the environment of the region, the participants of the Symposium discussed the concept of creating innovative nature-friendly transport and infrastructure network "Orenburg Gossamer"  V.V. Litovskiy is V.V. Litovskiy. It is based on engineering solutions developed by Anatoliy Yunitskiy.

"In this paper, as a theoretical and methodological basis of the spatial distribution and binding of the second level (on supports) transport network to the "growth poles" (key fields) of the Eurasia steppe zone, there was chosen the copyright gravio-geometric method, previously successfully applied for the schemes of farms and transport infrastructure for the Ural Arctic (project "Urarctic"). In the project, as the fundamental platform of re-industrialization and restructuring of the economy of the Urals, in accordance of the range of its natural diversity from the Arctic deserts to the steppes, there was proposed the Yunitskiy innovative infrastructure and economically sustainable transport, and the draft of the combined  development of the Urals and the Arctic is positioned as the original draft of the reformat not only of the country's economy to a qualitatively new way of economy, but of the entire Eurasian space on the basis of the transforming infrastructure that outgoes the leading world achievements," said V.V. Litovskiy.

According to the author, the application of SkyWay engineering basis in the context of Northern Eurasia territories development, can form in the region the efficient and environmentally friendly infrastructure, which will be the basis for the development of new sectors of the economy and power engineering of the future.

Litovskiy,    titled "Gravio-Geography and Nature-Friendly Network "Orenburg Gossamer" on the Basis of Yunitskiy's SkyWay Infrastructure for the Steppes of Eurasia", in full here. (p. 589-583). The concept is included in the symposium repository under the scientific editorship  of academician A. A. Chibilev.
