Unibus U4-212-01 arrived at the uSky Test and Certification Centre after final assembly at the UST Inc. production facility. This is where the pilot testing will take place on the overhead track with a length of over 2 km, which is currently under construction. The length of the rail-string flyover will allow the electric rail vehicle to be tested at a speed of 150 km/h.

The 25-seat Unibus U4-212-01 — the flagship of the UST Inc. range: 360-degree visibility, enhanced comfort, high noise insulation and unparalleled safety. These are just some of the benefits of the new unimobile. The unibus is suitable for urban and suburban transportation in tropical conditions. For example, it can be used in the Middle East countries. The rail electric vehicle is adapted to high temperatures and humidity as much as possible.

«Even during the development stage of the unibus, we set ourselves the task — to create a product to provide the most comfortable transport in tropical conditions. The new unimobile incorporates the best solutions from previous uST vehicles. In comparison with its predecessors, U4-212-01 is at a fundamentally new level», — told Denis Baryshev, leading design engineer of KB & laquo;Komponovka».

The new passenger transport model has the potential to significantly reduce congestion on the streets of metropolises. The unibus can provide more transportation capacity than impressive trains and even airplanes in terms of size, cost and capacity. It is precisely because of their size that they cannot follow each other at short intervals.

Currently, the commissioning works are in progress at the uSky Center, and then the acceptance tests will begin. The next stage — the final stage of testing the unibus directly on test track #4. Subsequently, the testing of the overhead unicont with the carrying capacity up to 30.5 tons, which will allow the transportation of 20- and 40-foot sea containers, will be carried out on the same line. Both the unibus and the unicont are made in a tropical version.
