On 16 August, 2018, in the court of the Republic of Lithuania,
We remind you that the basis for the lawsuit was the pre-trial investigation, launched in 2014, by which the Lithuanian authorities were going to detect signs of illicit financial activity of Anatoliy Yunitskiy. The investigation lasted three years and ended in nothing. A year ago, the Vilnius district Prosecutor's office adopted a resolution on the termination of the investigation, acknowledging that there was
The Lithuanian government, initially having allocated the land for the construction of the test site to Anatoliy Yunitskiy, after a short time reversed their decision, as it seemed to the secret services of the country that the businessman, who was at that time a former citizen of Russia, planned to start the construction suspiciously close to a strategic private object – a NATO air base. The reason for kicking out the project from Lithuania, was the statement of the Central Bank that the activity of Yunitskiy's companies is fraudulent. As a result of pressure from the authorities and the media, Yunitskiy's property was arrested, the family of the inventor was forced to leave the country, and due to the false information about the project, the volume of investments in SkyWay decreased to not less than $ 100 million.
Anatoliy Yunitskiy has repeatedly stated that the conflict with the Lithuanian authorities may be associated with the dominance of the Siemens company in the country industry, and this company is the string transport's competitor. In general, the unfounded claims to SkyWay, especially in the media, appear quite often, and it can be assumed it happens just because of unfair competition. About one of these occasions has been already mentioned earlier by us: in the Crimea, the project was met with a barrage of accusations from the media, controlled by local oligarchs.
Many of those who did not check the facts in their statements about SkyWay, today, have lost some of their reputation: they had to refute the defamatory statements by the court. This happened, for example, with the Crimean edition of "Obyektiv" and the former partner of Anatoliy Yunitskiy Victor Uzlov -- they recently lost their cases in court.
Today, despite all the troubles in Lithuania, the SkyWay project is developing successfully. In the Republic of Belarus, there has been built the EcoTechnoPark with four types of track structure, the fifth track is already under construction; there have been tested and certified four types of the rolling stock, and its new samples are being tested.
As for Lithuania itself, only some of its media representatives seem to still be feeding negativity towards the project: the ordinary people are
Today, we can already say that Lithuania has lost a promising company and a good partner because of its unfounded accusations. Recently, the project has received the support of the government of the United Arab Emirates. The General Designer of the project has reported about that at the EcoFest, where the investors saw the results of the company's work for the year, and were able to ride the string transport.
