The string transport is equipped with a microclimate system. It ensures a comfortable interior temperature in hot and cold weather. The engineers from the company developer explained how this device works. We share the main points:
— By means of a carbon dioxide sensor, the microclimate system automatically regulates the air exchange in the salon. The more passengers, the more fresh air gets in.
— The system includes a preparation-ride option. It allows to generate the desired temperature in the salon before transporting passengers.
— Despite its small size, the system is able to provide a salon temperature between +18°C and +23°C, even if the outside temperature is +55°C.
— In order to reduce the load on the air-conditioning system, the windows of the string vehicle are fitted with tinted glass. This provides additional thermal insulation.
— Unlike conventional vehicles, the condensate from the microclimate system in the string vehicles is stored in special containers and then disposed of in designated areas.
— The service life of the microclimate system corresponds to the service life of the rolling stock — 25 years.
