Businessmen from India and the UAE have visited the String Technologies Testing Centre in Sharjah. The delegation included:

― Hari Prasad, founder of HP Convergences, an Indian company that implements projects in the fields of clean energy, agriculture and infrastructure.

― Ahamed Shahil Anoof, managing Director of the Indian transport company Rainland Autocorp Private Limited.

― Saji George, CEO of the Arabian company Coast Trading & Contracting, which is part of a group of construction companies from the UAE and Qatar.

The tour of the Centre began with the headquarters of the company, which is developing the project in the Middle East. The main feature of this building is the extensive ecosystem in the courtyard.

Thereafter, the guests took a test drive in a certified tropical Unicar, which is designed to operate in arid regions with temperatures up to +55°C.

The Unicar took passengers to the service station. Here, the delegates were introduced to the hardware and software system that provides data collection on the tracks and transport control.

Further on, the guests were introduced to the flagship of the project - the high-speed model of the string transport, which can accelerate up to 500 km/h. Some businessmen appreciated not only the appearance of the vehicle, but also its comfortable interior.

But the guests were particularly impressed by the linear city concept. These are eco-friendly cluster settlements which are connected by string tracks. The mock-up of such a settlement is on display at the Testing Centre's headquarters.

The parties concluded by discussing the possibilities of introducing the string transport. In the long term, the technology will help the countries create modern and efficient infrastructure that will contribute to long-term economic growth.
