Senior management from Frauscher Sensor Technology have visited the String Technologies Testing Centre in Sharjah. It is a corporation with projects in more than 140 countries, and is dedicated to developing innovations in the railway industry worldwide.
The guests attended a technology presentation, looked at the Linear City model and got to know about the main advantages of the string transport: high safety for passengers, low construction costs and the possibility of implementing it in any infrastructure.
The delegates were also shown the main invention of the project founder Anatoli Unitsky — the string rail. This element combines the properties of a flexible cable with those of a rigid beam, enabling it to support heavy vehicles while keeping the size of the structure to a minimum.
The guests also visited a pavilion where there is demonstrated the model of the string transport, which can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h on intercity and international routes.
After that, the delegates went to the dispatch room, where they were given a tour of the advanced software developed specifically for controling the string transport.
And of course, to test the technology in practice, the representatives from Frauscher Sensor Technology took a test drive on the certified tropical Unicar.
Having inspired by the fascinating tour, the delegates thanked the project team in the UAE and expressed a desire to work closely with the company in the future.
