Some guests of the World EXPO 2020 in Dubai have visited the String Technologies Testing Centre in Sharjah. The delegation included:
‒ Natalia Ivanova, sales expert, speaker of one of the largest business communities in CIS, speaker of the HSE [Higher School of Economics].
‒ Oksana Aksyonenko, an expert on supporting students in online schools. Oksana's team organized client service and security at the Sochi 2014 Olympics, the 2016 Hockey World Cup, the Confederations Cup, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
‒ Samuel Benedict Ogbonnaya, CEO of Tafabot, a crypto futures trading service.
‒ Anatoli Zhiltsov, co-owner of a chain of restaurants, a chain of hairdressers, food industry enterprises and other business projects. From 2011 to 2015, he was an attache to the Consul of the Republic of Seychelles and a member of the Board of Directors of the World Innovation Center.
The tour of the Testing Centre began with an introductory conversation at the office of the company that develops the SkyWay transport in the UAE. The guests then proceeded to the passenger station, from where they took a test ride on the certified Tropical Unicar.
The Unicar's route ended at the maintenance station with integrated dispatch centre, where the guests were shown the software and hardware and gained first-hand experience of the system's ease of use.
Further on, the delegates visited an indoor pavilion where the 6-seat high-speed model of the string vehicle, designed to operate on intercity and international routes at up to 500 km/h, is on display.
However, the guests' attention was particularly drawn to the cost of construction, operation and timing of the string transport complex implementation.
To be exact, the construction of 1 km of the string track requires $4 ml depending on the parameters of the order, i.e. the purpose (cargo, passenger, high-speed or mixed), passenger flow, estimated speed, terrain, natural and climatic conditions and so on. The exact cost of the complex can only be determined as a result of pre-design studies.
The company estimates the duration of the design and survey work to be 1-1.5 years, and the construction work - to 1.5 to 2.5 years.
In their turn, the operating costs of 1 km of the string track may amount to $20-100 thousand a year. As is the case with construction, a specific amount can only be determined after a feasibility study.
At present, the company which is developing the string transportation in the UAE, has all the necessary resources to offer customers from all over the world quality, safe and environmentally friendly solutions for freight and passenger transportation around the world.
