UST inc. Centre in Sharjah was visited by heads of major industrial companies in the UAE: Sultan Al Qirtasi Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Premier Composite Technologies (Dubai) and Mahmoud Mohammad Rashed Amiri, CEO of Al Asbar Auto Industries LLC (Dubai).
Premier Composite Technologies is the world's leading supplier and manufacturer of composite components for the architectural design, transportation and shipbuilding markets.
Al Asbar Auto Industries LLC is a company that has been developing and manufacturing armored vehicles for military and civilian organizations for more than 15 years.
During the tour of the Centre, the guests were told about the mechanics and benefits of UST Inc.'s key technology — the string rail. We remind you that such a rail combines the properties of a flexible cable and a rigid beam, which allows it to withstand heavy transport with a minimum size of the structure.
Representatives of the companies also visited the control station, where they learned about the main features of the string transport complex:
‒ The UST Inc. tracks are located above the ground, which reduces the risk of collision with other modes of transport.
‒ The supports of the string track occupy minimum space on the ground, so the transport line can be adapted to perform any logistics tasks at speeds up to 500 km/h.
‒ The cost of building and operating string transport is much lower compared to monorail, magnetic levitation train, subway or cable car.
The guests were especially interested in the string transport model, which is capable of transporting at low operating costs up to 100 million tons of cargo per year at speeds up to 150 km/h.
To be convinced of the safety and reliability of the technology, the delegates rode a certified tropical Unicar along a 400-meter test track.
In addition, the guests from Dubai visited the pavilion, where a high-speed string transport model is demonstrated, which is equipped with a multimedia system, six seats for passengers, and can accelerate up to 500 km/h.
