The journalists from «Russian Emirates» have visited Unitsky String Technologies Inc. Testing and Certification Centre in Sharjah. The authors got to know how the technology development is going and reported on it in their new material. We are sharing a summary of this publication.
- Unitsky String Technologies Inc. has moved into the commercial implementation stage. At the same time, testing of the transport is ongoing to prepare it for widespread introduction in urban infrastructure. A total of over $14 million has already been invested in the development of the technology in the UAE.
After the launch of the first commercial projects, the company plans to increase their number to 10 by the end of 2022. The prospects of the string transport in the market were commented by the founder of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. Anatoli Unitsky:
«This is a key stage of our development. Introduction of the string transport will be much cheaper than other transport solutions, and its impact on the environment is minimal. Our string-rail systems are optimised for both freight and passenger logistics and enable fast and efficient transportation».
- The string transport in the UAE has undergone certification, which confirmed the reliability and safety of the technology. The testing was carried out by the independent organization TUV SW.
- In its next phase of development, the company plans to introduce a separate technology platform to test the high-speed transport that can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h.
- According to Anatoli Unitsky, there is interest in the technology in many countries. It has to do with the high demand for urban transport and high-speed international transport. An equally important factor is the comparatively low cost of string tracks construction and the small land allocation.
