In the magazine «Innovative Transport» there has been released an article with the title «On the Prospects of Development of String Transport for Freight Transportation». The material was co-authored by General Designer of UST, Inc. Anatoli Unitsky.

- The freight transporation industry requires improvements in the following indicators: energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness, affordability, automation, speed of installation and low cost of operation.
- The SkyWay string transport can solve these problems. These are electric vehicles that run on an uncut pre-stressed track structure. The technology is already being tested in Belarus and the UAE.
- The string freight transport is capable of transporting loose, liquid and piece goods. This technology is most effective in regions with difficult terrain, water obstacles and other obstacles. Tracks can be laid out along the shortest route, making the cost of transportation lower.
- String transport produces no harmful emissions into the atmosphere because it runs on electricity. Thanks to their location above the ground, the tracks do not interfere with the movement of rivers and the migration of animals. If necessary, the space under the road can be used for farming.
- The string transport is resistant to terrorist attacks, vandalism and harsh weather conditions, unlike a cable car, where the supporting rope is not protected in any way.
- The operation of the string transport is fully automated, eliminating the presence of people in potentially hazardous areas. It is not necessary to build a separate road to maintain such a system. Personnel and parts for repairs are delivered on the track itself.
- The track structure of the freight string transport is organised in such a way that all loads are placed on the anchor supports. That allows to make intermediate supports lighter, cheaper and easier to install with no loss of strength.
- The string transport is capable of interacting with other transport means. For example, the tracks could be built as far as the seaport to deliver goods directly to the quay.
- Today's string transport freight range includes Unicont, Unitruck and Unitrans.
The magazine «Innovative Transport» has been published since 2011. The edition is dedicated to achievements and future developments in the field of transport. The magazine's international board includes experts from Germany, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
