The company-developer CJSC "String Technologies" has presented the unique eclectrical car for the people with disabilities. The name of the novelty is "Unimobile".
For the first time, a person can operate the car while in a wheelchair, when getting into the car's salon through a special door. The Unimobile can be seen at the specialized exhibition "InvaExpo. Society for all", which is being held from 12 up to 14 September 2018 at the VDNKh in Moscow.
The Unimobile is designed in such a way as to eliminate the obstacles in mobility, which are typical for the converted standard models. The novelty is not very similar to any of today's cars: all of its parameters, from the length of the hull to the unusual rear doors, are determined by the specific needs of people with disabilities.
The development will be a full-fledged vehicle that will enable people with disabilities to lead a more independent way of life at the batch production stage.
The car is designed taking into account the ergonomic features of wheelchair users - its unusual design is due to the fact that many of the engineering solutions, used in Unimobile, are not used in standard cars. For example, in the back, where a conventional car has a trunk, the Unimobile has a ramp, so the rear door is made flat. The dimensions and design of the car allow to park perpendicular to the sidewalk, which makes getting into the car/getting out of it simpler and lets park the vehicle in common parking areas, and not only in special areas.
The Unimobile in batch production will meet all the safety requirements to vehicles of class M1, and can be operated on public roads. As an option, the unimobile can be equipped with the designed own wheelchair with the electric drive and 40-km crusing range.
The vehicle was built on the basis of an existing set of innovative developments, previously successfully implemented in the SkyWay string transport systems, in which special electric vehicles, equipped with the intelligent control system, are used as the rolling stock. Thus, the company expects not only to create a socially-oriented product, but also to solve a number of tasks related to the implementation of the SkyWay project.
The the vehicle has already arisen interest at the exhibition InvaExpo: Tatyana Batysheva, a member of the working group of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation for Disabled People, Secretary of the Public Council of the Moscow City Health Department and a Deputy of the Moscow City Duma have visited the stand of "String Technologies".
