On the magazine What's website there has been published an article about five transport technologies that may soon be introduced in the UAE. The list includes the transport of the UST, Inc. company.
The authors of the article highlighted that string transport is vehicles that move above the ground on a high-strength rail. This technology allows UST, Inc. passenger transport to accelerate up to 150 km/h in the city and up to 500 km/h outside it.
The material also mentions that His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, visited the testing of the string transport at the Sharjah Research and Technology Park in October 2019. We remind you that then, the test ride was carried out on a 400-metre section.
According to What's On, when the UST, Inc. transport tests have been completed, the Sharjah government may announce the construction of the string tracks in the city.
