Tests are regularly carried out at the UST, Inc. Centre in Sharjah to check the operation of the transport in emergency situations. The most important thing during such cases is the safety of passengers.
In particular, the SkyWay transport is equipped with an emergency descent system for quick evacuation. It can be used in three steps. Firstly, install a special device on the cabin ceiling to make the descent more comfortable. Secondly, run a strong rope through this device and secure it to the person with a belt. Thirdly, hold on to the rope and lower yourself to the ground.
This method of evacuation is used in extreme cases where it is necessary to leave the vehicle quickly. For example, during a fire. For less dangerous situations, there is provided a towing system. It allows vehicles to be connected in couplings and transported faulty models with passengers to the nearest stations.
