Dear inverstors and partners, we are offer a summary of the recent interview with CEO of Unitsky String Technologies, Inc. Nadezhda Kosareva.
What was the company like five years ago?
Five years ago, our entire team was housed in a small rented office, but even in such conditions, we were able to prepare for the Innotrans exhibition in Berlin, where we showed the first string transport. Today, we own an entire building. We have a lot of secret developments, so it is important for us to work in a single space where there are no other companies.
How has the workforce changed since the pandemic?
Today we employ about 650 people. It is less than it was before the pandemic, but we were able to keep the core team of the company. Today, UST employs many specialists from the CIS, metalwork specialists from Ukraine, load calculation specialists from Russia, and mechanical engineers from Belarus. We are a multinational company.
What are the company’s main directions today?
There are five main directions:
1. Design of buildings and facilities.
2. Design of the track structure.
3. Design of transport means.
4. Automation of the track structure and transport complex.
5. Certification of transport.
How many commercial proposals is the company considering today?
We have two commercial proposals underway, and several projects in the signing stage.
How do you see the company in 5-10 years?
I would like every employee to continue to feel a close connection to the company in the future. When there are several thousand people working in the company, it is going to be hard to maintain close relationships and stay involved in every process, but I would like that.
