SkyWay can help Belgium to develop port infrastructure

Last week, in Belgium Antwerp, there was held a meeting of SKY WAY CAPITAL Board Members with the representatives of the Republic of Benin. At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the SkyWay project in the African region.

Last week, the details of the meeting, where the possibilities of the SkyWay development in Europe were discussed with the representatives of the Belgian state structures, became known.

Pre-history

In March of 2018, the SKY WAY CAPITAL representatives Kristiaan Van den Vyver, Kaat Jacobs and Vladislav Volkov met with Mr Peters (he is responsible for innovations in Gent, Belgium). At the meeting, the SkyWay technology was presented to Mr. Peters.

In the course of the presentation, the parties agreed to continue discussing the prospects of using the SkyWay technology after the upcoming elections. However, after the election, Mr. Peters was substituted, which required additional time to resume the work of the initiative group.

Today

In February of 2019, there was a new meeting with the representatives of the Belgium state bodies, in particular, with Martin Van Onkelen, Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Transport.

At the meeting, the parties determined objectives for the development of the transport infrastructure in Belgium. In particular, Mr Van Onkelen proposed to consider the possibility of using SkyWay in the port of Antwerp.

In the same month, in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the SKY WAY CAPITAL representatives met with the delegation of the party «Groen» (Greens) and Mr Johan Malcorps, political party secretary in the Flemish Parliament. At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation on the use of the SkyWay transport solutions in Belgium.

What is being planned further?

Following the two meetings in March 2019, there was appointed a meeting between the SKY WAY CAPITAL representatives and the management of mobility of the port of Antwerp. At the meeting, the parties discuss prospects for using the SkyWay technology to improve the port infrastructure of the city. SkyWay will make a proposition to the management of the port to give a realistic impression what we can offer to the second biggest port of the world.
